Choose one of the following topics: 1. Discuss the reasons the founding fathers defied the English government. 2. Choose 3 founding fathers and discuss the sacrifices they made in the founding of our country. 3. What would __________ (choose a founding father) say to us today about the state of our country. Grades 10-12: Submit 3-5 pages; Winner: $250. Grades 7-9: Submit 2-3 pages; Winner: $250. Winners will read essay at the Tea Party on 9/12/09. All essays should be in 12-point type and double spaced. Submit completed essays to: Arkansas Unite, 1722 North College, Suite C, PMB 167, Fayetteville, AR 72703. Winner must present valid U.S. birth certificate and proof of Arkansas residency to receive award.
